Fronted by Ronan MacManus and Luke Dolan, Brand New Zeros will release their new single “Love You If You Let Me” on February 28th. The track is the first single taken from their upcoming album Back To Zero, due later in 2020, and the follow up to their self-titled 2015 debut.
Brand New Zeros will debut the new material during an exclusive showcase at the 2020 AmericanaFest, held on Wednesday, January 29th at Hackney Church Brew Co.
MacManus’ upbringing amongst musical royalty (his brother is Grammy-winner Elvis Costello) has long inspired his journey as a musician. His initial songwriting sessions with Luke Dolan (guitarist – Jim Dolan Project) were intended as material for his solo output. “The idea was for this to be an extension of my already established solo project but it quickly began to feel like a band, it didn’t feel right for me to seem to take the credit for what was a team effort so the decision was made to find a name.”
MacManus shared his enthusiasm for working with Ian Sephton, Managing Director of Fretsore Records. “We are so excited to be signed to Fretsore Records. Ian’s genuine love and enthusiasm for music and the appreciation of the artist is apparent in everything he does and this is infectious and spreads throughout the wider Fretsore team.”
“In this day and age of cynicism, record companies have taken a step back from growing careers and nurturing talent to see bottom lines and throw talent to the wayside. Ian from Fretsore is a breath of fresh air. To find someone that cares as much as the artist about their Music and their careers is overwhelming and it spurs us on to create and be the best we can be. You’ll never meet a brighter shining light than Ian.” Luke Dolan (lead guitarist).
Ian Sephton spoke of the signing; “I’m delighted to be working again with Luke Dolan and Ronan MacManus of Brand New Zeros. They were hugely supportive of our 2018 Music Minds campaign for better mental health and we got on fabulously. Their new songs cover a whole range of emotional and social situations we can all relate to, so I can’t wait to see what the fans make of them. 2020 should be a great year for Brand New Zeros.”
